This one that I saved, the keyframe recognises each time I move and save! However, this is one I saved as I went along, where I made a mistake on the joints. So, his knees or feet do not bend properly, or his arms and body do not rotate properly.
I have been trying for hours to animate my walk cycle, but it just will not do it. Whatever position I put him in for the first key frame is what he stays in for the rest of them. I have done everything I’m supposed to. When I open up another maya programme and animate something different in the same way, it works! So, I just don’t understand why it has been playing up so much!

Heres my man with his hair and fully texturised. I wanted to try and do him with clothes, bit of experimentation really. Looking back, I would have preferred if the black of his trousers came more up and around his waist, but I think he looks ok… Just hope he moves ok too. Also, I’m going to try and give him more of a facial expression… As I think that would make him look better, he looks a bit scared now. I also have to do a bit more stitching on his shirt. Say hello! :D
I really enjoyed this kitkat advert when I seen it. Again, a silent animation, but I just love the humour and the facial expressions used. Each of these animations I upload are ones that make me feel enthusiastic about my work and I hope I can reach this standard one day.

I found this book really helpful whilst modelling the body of my man. especially the skeletal system. I find it very useful to try and apply the physics and anatomy of ‘real life’ to my animations. Even when animating a bouncing ball, its deceptively a simple exercise that covers soft and hard animation movement on impact, manipulating this with Maya. Also, considering i’m still having a little difficulty painting the weight, i’m going to see if the muscle structure, will help more towards the shading… I don’t know if it will, but it’s a bit of trial and error I think.
I really enjoyed this short film.
I find I really like the animations that dont have any dialogue, as such, and more tells a story through the expressions that are used.
I found this animation quite moving.
